As a comment about Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Howdy'), Paintedtrillium wrote:

I am curious about the accuracy of this color description of "Howdy" above: "ORD/GYL3: Orange red dark petals with orange dark sepals bicolor"?

When I read the description of HOWDY, as per the AHS database, it would seem that HOWDY ought to be an orange/red self. The description does not match the picture with it, nor do any of pictures I see here on this site. Makes me wonder if way back when this daylily was introduced, if someone got the pictures mixed up with a description of another flower altogether!
