Please do share your 2020 herbaceous peony blooms here. If you have posted something in another thread, feel free to also post them here as I am unable to combine threads and had a request to split up the different blooming varieties.
Happy Blooming Season. I look forward to your flowers as mine are a ways off yet.

Here is Smouthii blooming today

It's very unusual to start my bloom season in March, but I'm not complaining. I'm working from home so I will be able to get more photos this year!

Hi Karen, it usually is in the middle of April!

We have had three days in a row in the 80's, so that helps.

Wow, a beautiful color. I am just a little north of you, and I don't think any of my herbaceous are that close to blooming. I did notice yesterday a tree peony is blooming, one I started from seed. I need to get out and take pictures, its blooms are pretty but do not last long.

Wow, LG! You are 3 weeks ahead! Hopefully it won't stay that hot for you. Peony blooms don't last as long in 80's. I hope you will get a dry stretch of sunny weather in the 70's, LG and Gary.

Love Smoothii! Can't believe you have blooms already, LG! Such a bright and cheery bloom and so early! Got one from the Peony Shop a few years ago but it was a mis-id, pretty but not the right color, will definitely try again.

Exciting news, Nancy! I swear I go out and check the peony beds at least three times a day.

Smouthii opened another bloom

Karen, thanks for reminding me that I keep misspelling the Manitowoc Maiden. I have had this one for several years and the buds have always gotten frozen. I've never seen a bloom 🙄
I really hope I finally get to see blooms. It is a nice tall robust peony!

Another peony that is showing color is Lotus Bloom.

LG, your blooms are going to be amazing this year! Congratulations on so many buds, keeping my fingers crossed that you have no more below freeing temps this year! When are you typically out of danger for bad freezes?

Liz, generally around April 15, but I remember one year we had a freeze around April 22, and a lot of folks lost Japanese maples!

SoCal, I'm hoping Lotus Bloom will open this coming week!

Claire de Lune opened today. And y'all will be happy to know that I checked for fragrance, and it is a slight vanilla scent to me.

So here is the foliage on Golden Angel. I was expecting more gold. Does anyone else grow this one?

Here is Claire de Lune today. When the bloom first opens it has a slight blush
