Another beautiful tour Neil! The variety of different garden styles is amazing. They seem to use sempervivum in quite a few of their gardens. Wow! Thanks for taking us along to enjoy it once again.

Thank you both for your comments. There was a lot of hard work in the three Articles i have done, but I think it was worth it in the end, as people who may have never seen Hampton Court Palace now at least know what it looks like.
The actual gardens on there own without the flower show are quite amazing, and has a massive maze and King Henry VIIIs own Tudor garden. Unfortunately I did not have the time to go round them as well, so I might have to do some separate Articles just on the Palace gardens.

Dear Vicki, King Henry VIII was rather rich to say the least and he used to spend £66,000 pounds per month on food at Hampton Court. That is just over £3 million in today's money. The kitchens are the same as in the 1500s and they have cookery demonstrations from the Tudor times which are fascinating. They get the money to keep this stunning place from visitors. Some come to see the Palace and others the majestic gardens. It used to have the biggest maze in the world, but someone built a bigger one. The vine is the oldest and biggest you will ever see, and i used to know the girl who was the Royal Vine Keeper.
He also had another method of saving money, instead of getting an expensive divorce he cut his wives heads off, and indeed anyone who annoyed him.

Dear Cherie, thank you and I do hope you visit Part 2 & 3! Which part 2 maybe on tonight. You would have loved the food, and of course the bars everywhere. Especially in a setting that is so beautiful. Yes there was even Guinness for Ed.
Nice river trips as well, or just a slow walk, what is heavenly to us. There are many other stunning places all over the UK, for there are gardens everywhere.

I know which one was my favorite garden. It was the Coral Desert. It is amazing how they used the cacti in a way that gave the impression of different types of coral. It was fascinating.
I also really like the Discover Jordan garden.

I really don't get the stone floor one. How could that have won a metal?

I enjoyed the entire article Neil, it warrants going through more than once, to look at the photos again, to see what I missed the first time through.

Dear Lynn, nobody got the stone floor one at all! I take a lot of pictures of different things as Sharon then links them to everyone's forums. like yours. Hopefully I try my best to keep everyone happy, but sometimes that is quire impossible.
It is a massive show and there is but one of me, and indeed I can only afford one day there. That day I took over 1100 pictures alone, and was rather tired by the time I got home which was after midnight.
However it is nice to share my trips and to let people who have never seen Hampton Court, see it.
I do hope you will join me in Part 2 & 3, maybe Part 2 will be on tonight. Part 3 is Semps.

I liked the one called, I think the Swiss garden and the first garden. Since I have a very small place,

that one seemed good to me. Also liked the one with the blue wasters, which I think you said someone thought was a swimming pool.

I will go back through a time or two more to try to glimpse what others found of interest.
