It's been a good season so far for iris! All but 2 of them are NoIDs, but I'm pretty sure they are all historics (they either came from my sisters farm or were already well established on our rural property). If anyone has ID suggestions they are welcome, but I'm not going searching. There are just so many varieties. Anyway, enjoy!

Nice. You are in good company. Instead of Victory Gardens We have NOID gardens! They are spectacularly beautiful with all the colors mixed in
Thanks for posting

The iris pictured in photos six-seven looks like it might be TB 'Blue Shimmer.'

Sara,
Interesting. My 'Blue Shimmer' started blooming on April 11th. It has nearly finished. I am in East Tennessee in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. I would have thought Middle Tennessee would be ahead of me.

It seems like things are behind this year, we're in Van Buren Co. The first bloom on 'Sparkles (probably blue shimmer)' opened April 16, it's just kept going since (haven't kept track of blooms but it has 2 stalks that are still going). Iris that had bloomed by now last year haven't opened yet (they were already on the property). All of these moved with me back in 2018 and were planted that fall. They spent last year just growing without blooms. A beautiful yellow that only put up one stalk last year has 6 this year, I'll divide it this fall.

Things just seem off with all the flowers, I can't explain it. Probably has something to do with all the freak storms we've been having.

Really nice historic irises Sara! Hurray!

(That last one is a Siberian and not a TB in case you didn't know already.)

This one is exciting, it fell victim to mower and weed whacker (my bad) last year and currently has 2 more buds. It came with our property.

This one bloomed last year, but only had one stalk. Just counted 6 stalks and 11 more buds in the clump. It came with our property.

The Wabash lookalike bloomed over night. It's amazing how vibrant white it is!

And the wind last night took the yellow/wine stalk right off the rhizome Crying Crying brought it inside to finish blooming. The rhizome will be fine, right? I was planning to relocate it closer to the house for this very reason. Sigh.

These are mixed in with a patch of day lilies, hopefully this fall once the lilies die back I can dig them out.
