I was wondering if a link could be made from the Database where you can "add this to your plant list"? That way, I don't have to bounce back & forth figuring out exactly which cultivar I have (for instance, I had to look up "red asiatic lily" 'cuz I couldn't remember "Red Sensation" lily).

Just a suggestion. Smiling I tip my hat to you.

When in the database, the plant will have a blue box off to the right of that plant entry. You can add it to your list by using that button. Hurray!

Great idea.

I just added to my plants list all that I have uploaded photos for in the past. The only thing I would add is that it would also be nice if you could do a mass "add" to a catagory. Right now I have 199 in my list and all but 5 are daylilies that I want to put in that catagory. It will take awhile to do all 194 of them. Blinking

Also it would be great if there was a way to look our plants up by the letter.

Laura, I will have to contemplate your ideas for a bit.

In the meantime, if you'd like me to go ahead and do a mass update on your list, and place them ALL inside the Daylilies category, I can do that fairly easily for you. You could then go in and pick out the few that don't belong in that category and recategorize them. Let me know if you'd like me to do that.

Yes! Thank you very much.

I know that you have a lot of things to do. Thanks for taking the idea under consideration.

This is now done! Keep in mind that this moved ALL plants in your list into Daylilies, so any that don't belong need to be manually moved out by you. Smiling

That's an ingenious idea! I love it. Dave, can you label all of my plants "Roses"? I've avoided categorizing my list because it's so long, and changing the categories of the other plants will be so much easier than adding the "Roses" category to 1600 of them.

Hello, I have been working on my Plant list too and was wondering if you could make the search boxes a bit darker. I have advancing glaucoma and sometimes I have a problem seeing them. I keep my screen on 150% at least.

Thanks

This is done, and this time I actually was able to just categorize your roses into the roses category that I created for you.

It might be possible. Which search boxes are you talking about, though?

Dave the one on the left is hard for me to see. When you are putting in the name to add to your Plant List. Thanks for trying. I know where it is now, but it might help others.

If I'm looking at the same thing that you are, then this is the white box where you type your search into? All the search boxes on the site have a white background with black text and this is the standard color across the net. Is that what you have found also? Do you see the same color when you use, for example, google?

Hey, Dave....

I was just browsing another member's plant list to see if I had anything she wanted, and was thinking "Wow, I wish I could sort or filter this plant list -- I don't care what she has, I care about her WANTS."

Any chance we could get a display filter added when you have a spare moment or five?

Or can you tell me where it is, if I'm not seeing it?

Thanks! Thumbs up
