Daylilies & hardy hibiscus
I'm not doubting anyone, but Howdy's description really doesn't seem to fit what's in all the pictures. The petals look on the purple end of the red spectrum, not orange red...and the sepals don't look dark orange, they look yellow.

Is this just a case where the hybridizer's growing conditions may have been different from those of most people who grow it today?

I'm about to buy it...just want to be sure what's what!
Hardy hibiscus are a hobby, but daylilies are an obsession.
