We have a very exciting new feature that is going to become a regular feature. 'Plant of the Week'.
As you all have probably noticed we had 'Daylily Week' recently. It was wonderful. A full week of great articles, photos, tips and reference material, all pertaining to Daylilies. I learned so much from all the information presented.

It was such a success that Dave and Trish have decided to have a monthly Plant of the Week starting in January 2013.
This is a great time for each of us to contribute to our favorite plant, Sempervivum, with artilces, tips, tutorials, all pertaining to Sempervivum.

Right now March is slated for Sempervivum Week. Put your thinking caps on and let us know what you would like to do to make sure we have a full week of wonderful information about Sempervivum.

You can respond in this thread with ideas and what it is you would like to do.

It has been made official, as of today Sempervivum are on the calendar for March.

I could do an article about owning plants in apartments and not having to have a garden to enjoy gardening. I have used my extension roof to have a little green in my life! I use shells, buttons and stones to decorate their surrounding areas. That gives it the 'Pia' touch. It is visually pleasing to me, which is important when you don't get out much. Visual stimuli is key to a happy environment.
I could always do a presentation on my favourite Semp, or the things I have learned about succulent seedlings so far. So many possibilities, not enough time!

Pia, what a great idea. It would be great to have an article from the perspective of a person just starting to learn about these wonderful plants, and also the apartment dweller aspect.
