I would say an Epipremnum but it could be a juvenile form of something...where did you get it?

It's not mine, but someone is trying to sell it to me as a Scindapsus! It doesn't look like a Scindapsus to me Confused

It looks like an Epipremnum. How much are they asking?

I have seen scam ads for this that originate on eBay and the like. Its a bait and switch scam. They are hoping that you are uneducated and will fall for it. It stems from the old misnaming of plants. From Epipremnum aureum being called POTHOS, and Scindapsus being called a Silver Philodendron, and that kind of thing.

One of the scam ads I saw was for 'Scindapsus Marble Queen' (and the photo was of Epipremnum Marble Queen, the common houseplant.)

Someone was scammed out of $250 by an eBay seller selling the common Epipremnum pinnatum (that gets big side splits in the leaves) as a Monstera aurea-variegata. In fine print at the bottom they listed 'alternate names' for Monstera aurea-variegata and one of them was Epipremnum pinnatum (which has, as far as almost any aroid grower you ask, never been considered a synonym for the Monstera).

There's also a newer cultivar on the market named Pothos (Epipremnum aureum 'Manjula') that may be a possibility. We don't currently have any photos in our database of that one but I found a few when googling:

I've also seen some people selling giant mature golden pothos as Monstera aurea and cutting fenestrations in the leaves! Gosh, the length people will go to to make a quick buck is crazy.

The mystery Epipremnum sp. they are asking $2000AUD for. I was actually looking around for what I think is a variegated Scindapsus and they said that this picture (below) is the same as the one they are selling.

Any idea for an ID on this one?

@plantladylin At first I thought it could be a Marble Queen, but looking closer, I'm not so sure I tip my hat to you. The variegation reminds me of a Peru/Karstenianum but the leaves don't have the same bullate texture. Hmm Thinking

I think this one IS the real deal. I have seen a few of these available on some Aroid sale pages I sell on here on FB. You can see the true scindapsus markings on the one side. But the first photo you have is not the same plant as this

Blinking Oh my goodness, I just googled the conversion of $2,000AUD to U.S. currency - $1,425.89

I guess there are some TRUE collectors out there if they are willing to pay that kind of money for a plant!

I've seen the prices of some of the other rarer plants here. A single node (no leaf) cutting of the variegated adansonii sold for $2000 AUD and bids for a single node cutting (with leaf) are going for well over $6k.

Yeah, the variegated adansonii has been over $2000 here too, and the true Monstera obliqua went a few months ago for over $3000. I am on a private auction site for aroid and unusual plant collectors, the other day a 3 leaf 3 node cutting of Philodendron Strawberry Shake sold for over $600. People have flipped out over aroids, and variegated ones in particular. Its a bit crazy. Most of this is the result of a few 'internet plant influencers' who started Youtube channels showing their houseplant collections. Then everyone kind of piled on and started trying to grow stuff like Queen Anthuriums and other stuff in their kitchens, some folks are even making tent greenhouses inside their houses with grow light set ups, foggers, etc to grow mainly aroids. The prices have soared through the roof on even the most common plants.

@Gina1960 on that note, do you have any Queen Anthuriums in your huge greenhouse? They are a pleasure to look at *Blush*

I don't think so. Mehani is (Anthurium radicans x luxurians) x magnificum. The Queen will cross with magnificum, so maybe...?

Crystal Anthurium (Anthurium 'Mehani') is nice but oh my, Queen Anthurium (Anthurium warocqueanum) is really beautiful; love those long pointed leaves with the pretty veining! Lovey dubby
