Do you have peonies blooms with nice fading? Please share them here. If you have progression of their fading, that is even better!

Due to the cool spring weather we had this past spring, I got some very nice fading from peonies that did not show fading in the past. Here is a pic of Cytherea with blooms that show both its color. This is the first time that it fades this nice ever since it was planted 7 years ago.

Found another nice pic of Cytherea fading this spring

My Langley bloomed for the first time this year. I bought it because @lizbest told me it was an incredible fader. It did not disappoint Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Thanks Karen, I planted it in the Fall of 2016. The seller shipped two peonies in a box without any packaging! The roots were all broken. The other one wasn't true to name, and I had little hope for this one. I am so happy that it finally bloomed and is even prettier than I thought it would be.
Thanks for the acorn. 😊

Wow, those bushes and blooms are magnificent, ALex! Love ES's form, color, and fading. Your pics convinced me that this is a must have in my garden. I am so glad that I will be planting it soon in my garden.

It was not easy to take pictures of peonies this year because of all rain we had. This is Mary Jo Legare from last summer.

That is very distinct and lovely fading, Anya! Does anyone have others that are less known for fading? I would love to see Command Performance's fading. Does anyone know if Salmon Glory fade?

For years I did not get nice fading on Abalone Pearl. This year, I got a couple of nice fading blooms from it.

As everyone knows, Coral Charm is a great fader. This spring, I am able to capture the fading and the early blooms on the same pic.

Sorry no pictures but Coral Sunset fades beautifully...at least it did for me it's first year to flower and others said it usually does. Joker is supposed to..the only reason I got it.

I also found out that several of my roses don't fade, but change colors due to heat or cool...several other people noted that tree peonies may do a color shift with warmer or colder weather.

Coral Sunset opened blooms in sequence, then faded them, it was fun to have 3 blooms in different stages.

My existing peony actually fades for the center out so I get cream and screaming hot pink, not just screaming hot pink. (It smells like roses though.)

That's funny LG, I think it was you that told me about Langley!!!
Command Performance is a very good one. Someone posted a pic of it faded on one of the peony groups on FB and no one guessed the variety! Roseheart, Joker, Heidi and Orchid Annie jump to mind. If I remember I'll look for pics when we get home.
Can't believe I didn't mention the Itohs! No pics here though.

Oh do Itohs fade? Oh that would be so lovely!

Having Peonies fade gives you looks from the same plant, especially if it has nice spring leaf color and great fall color...oh so excited!

Alex, your Salmon Dream fades so nicely! Mine has awful brown parts at the petal edges. Wow, I have never seen Red Charm fades like that on mine. Mine starts to wilt before it has the chance to fade.

Anya, I think Ludovica is a good fader. You just need the right weather for it to happen.

Joker did not fade well for me this year.

Oh yes, I forgot about Roseheart. IT is a fantastic and beautiful fader too.
