I am always interested in what gardens are up to during the winter, particularly in colder regions. The beauty of the garden doesn't stop just because it's dormant.

I haven't seen any winter photos (so far) so I'll post mine:

We got a lot of snow. There is 4-foot raised bed under all that snow:

Our big snow came last Sunday and is still on the ground, never got above freezing
Last night we got another 2'' and it was -8 when I went out to feed the birds this morning

nmoasis.. we occasionally get some real winter blasts , referred to as Arctic blasts. Location is 800'above sea level. It's not a yearly winter occurrence. I'm glad I kept my snow blower when relocated from Colorado.

New Mexico is a beautiful state with the most beautiful sunsets across the valley's. Lived there awhile. that's where I really fell for gardening at my MIL home.

I lived through four winters in Denver...loved the city but couldn't handle the snow...I was commuting 40 miles a day and was terrified every time I got in the car. Albuquerque's snow is rarely more than a dusting and disappears quickly. The heavy stuff stays in the mountains. I can handle that!

Nice touch of snow. Compared to Denver it's just a mere dusting across the landscape. Commuting 40 miles in Colorado winters can try your patience. It's the other drivers that always worried me. Those long pileups on the freeway...OMG!
I'm glad to be out of the heavy snow too.
I enjoyed your Missouri prim roses. I grow them as annuals here and adore their fancy seed pods.

All the snow has almost melted..Keep hoping that spring will come soon!

Yes, it's cold. Taking photos of the garden during winter is challenging. HOWEVER....

....as the previous poster mentioned, you can always look OUT the window. You never know what you might find simply by observing the outside world:
