That time of year again! What's going on?

Nice enough and most of the snow almost gone so I was able to sweep up the patio and clean up the honeysuckle branches I chopped down in November. I even pulled a few weeds from the sunniest part of the fairy garden that was thawed out.

OK...I still have snow! Hopefully it will melt by the end of the week. I will plant some flower seeds & put them on the furnace to germinate.....I like to plant them on the back porch because of the mess, so I need a warm day!

The snow is all melted here except for the Snow Mountain leftovers from the huge pile at the end of the park where they pushed and dumped all the snow from the many storms.

My yard is looking more cheerful as the crocus are in bloom. And the early daffodils.

Nothing blooming here.....I took my delphs out of the fridge & put them on my plant shelf....article says they germinate best at 60-65 after stratification, so I put them near a window.....

I got a lot of clean-up done yesterday. A few beds cleaned out and lots of perennials deadheaded.

I have a sweet autumn clematis that I love but it needs to go. It climbs into my crepe myrtle on the side driveway and is always a mess come spring.
I managed to get it all cut back but don't think I'll ever get it out of the ground. Id' love to be able to transplant it on the arbor across the back of the yard.
We thought of putting a chain around it and pulling it out with the truck but I'm afraid the fence'll go with it Blinking

Sounds like my wisteria......can't get rid of it no matter what I spray on it.....I'm sure it's partly responsible for the damage to my garage siding!

Took me 10 years to get rid of my wisteria! Still can't get rid of the wild orange day lilies.

The actual Lowes Store is far and not so easy to get to here so I rarely go there.

So most of my tomato seedlings did all come up and I know I went crazy picking lots of tomato seeds. I planted 108 seeds. I should have lots and lots of extra plants as I have way too many to plant out.

Is there a community garden nearby? They might like the extra plants.....none in my town, but there is one in my son's town.....

Seeing eggplant seedlings starting to emerge. Others are still "hibernating".

Good idea, Marilyn, about a community garden for extra plants. I usually give my extras to my neighbors, and if I still have some left over I put them on the rock wall in front of my house with a "free" sign on them...but, giving them to a community garden is a good idea! Thumbs up
