I tried to copy last year thread. Here it is my first picture of Caroline Constabel. It's hard to take a picture of this one because it's facing my house.

Yay and congrats! Excited to see how the color progresses. I can't wait to see how all these flowers look in real gardens.

Do we need to stake our itohs? I thought they didn't need it?

No, Itohs don't need staking as their stems are much stronger than herbaceous, more like tree peonies in that respect.

I didn't want to take a chance, it's sort of windy here, the win broke one of my climbing rose from the base. I don't want my first Itoh to break. It's an insurance.

Cool. I might have to do the same - we have 50mph gusts pretty regularly.

More pictures of Caroline, however I don't think I got a perfect photo yet, I have a zoom lens taking pictures of the birds so the picture of Caroline is not as focus.

Photo of one flower facing my window, I had shorter lens, so it was good.

And the one facing the garden, but it wasn't quite open, progressing throughout the day.

THe color gets brighter as the bloom opens. Very nice, Socal!
