Could we add the thumbsup feature to each company's Recommendations page?

And perhaps the star feature as well? As one is looking through the list, it would be nice to be able to mark a *would like to try* company for later retrieval.

I agree
Currently to increase their number of recommendation someone has to write enter a comment. It would be a lot easier if we could just click a "thumbs up". A star system could be used to rate a company's service by category. Speed of shipping, Quality of packaging, Prices, Customer Service, Quality of Products, etc., then maybe the system could generate an overall rating based on the stars given.

I like the idea of a star system for the various categories. Seems most accurate that way.

Do you mean you want to be able to give a thumb to a company, rather than posting a review?

I was thinking more like being able to do both so we had the option of writing a review but can just leave a thumbs-up if that's all we want to do.

These are all interesting ideas! I've got quite a bit in my queue to do right now but I'll certainly give these good ideas some thought!

Thanks, Dave. Thumbs up

And yes, I agree that writing reviews is best, but there's not always time available to compose them. Smiling We'd have an idea of where the company stands in the ratings by the number of thumbsup given.

That could be useful. And maybe narrow it down a bit; the US and Canada are big places. I'd rather order from Oregon than New York! Hilarious!

That's what I was thinking, Woofie. Just like we can look to see who likes other ATP items/plants/etc., so that we can ask them questions if we need to. Thumbs up

It could be added at the time of each company's initial entry, perhaps?

I would think that you would still have reviews, especially by the original poster, but after there have been a few reviews, I would think "what more could I add". The previous reviewers have already said it better that I can so why not just give them a thumbs-up.

Wow, this site just keeps growing all the time. I rarely order by mail so don't pay any attention to this facet, but I can see that there could be many nuances to the recommendations. Good luck all. I'll stay out of the fray.

Sorry, Dave. I was referring to my first post. I'd love to be able to mark a recommendation posted by someone other than myself.
