So far, I have moss roses, New Guinea Impatiens, red & blue salvia, white Angelonia, some zinnia & sunflower & Cosmos seeds have sprouted, I have high hopes for the blue & red morning glory seeds I put out today.

And some New Guinea Impatiens, ornamental purslane, wax Begonias, a few Coleus, and some Pelargonium geraniums which I hope to keep potted inside for winter.

Excitement! I was too tired to take a pic after I finished today. Love to hear/see what others are doing!

Zinnias are my hobby, so those. Also have a few seedless tomato plants just started. We actually have a snow warning in effect in this part of east central Kansas. So I won't be setting any plants out in the garden for a while. Confused

I tip my hat to you.

I saw that this morning, supposed to be cold &/or snowing in a lot of places where that doesn't usually happen this late in the year. Cruel & unusual!

Also, snow predicted here Wednesday with below freezing temp that night, so I won't be buying/planting until around Mother's Day, as usual, here in central KY.

I think I'll try red salvia (or move some Victoria Blue from my bed) + petite yellow marigolds by the mailbox. Of course, moss rose, some geraniums, preferably dark pink, some purple and white petunias, begonias for a pot, verbena (dark purple and hot pink), Superbells petunias, and whatever catches my eye that is not too picky to grow and will take summer sun and humidity. I have planted Sweet Peas. I'm waiting to plant dahlias - maybe this afternoon. I have Sunrise Serenade and Split Second + tall mixed Morning Glories to plant. I bought stocks from Baker Creek, also, but those will wait til September.

Vegetable garden limited to Dragon Tongue and Blauhilde beans, yellow scallop squash, white IL Cushaw and a few tomato plants (cherry and maybe an heirloom).

Well, I will plant my zinnias, cosmos and marigolds that I do every year. I'm gradually changing over to a hot color palette, so I was really excited to find a beautiful tropical hibiscus in a wow orange color. I also found a two tone hanging calibrochoa, it's yellow and scarlet. A new vinca in a rusty coral color, a plecanthrus called guacamole , and a Persian shield will round out combo pots. Plus a canna with orange flowers and bronze tinted leaves. No pics yet of anything but the calibrochoa.

I've started seeds for the same combination I've used the past couple of years in the flower boxes that I hang on our deck railing - marigolds ('Janie' and 'Durango Outback'); zinnias ('Zinnita'); and celosia ('Ice Cream mix'). And also growing some impatiens ('Beacon mix') and coleus ('Wizard') for a shady area with hostas, as well as nasturtiums ('Whirlybird mix' - a bush type, and 'Spitfire' - a trailing type) that will be in my veg garden, and 4 o'clocks ('Marbles mix') - not sure where those will go yet, maybe in containers on the deck.

Now y'all can see why I scooped it up when I saw it! When I went to Atwood's I wasn't planning on buying any plants, I just went for cat food and cat flea drops...... Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing It's going to look rad with the canna and the vinca together in a pot. I will be sure to take a pic when I put the pot together!

This year the main plant will be 10 baskets of Picotee Yellow Begonias. The colours will be echoed in a small flower bed nearby, but I haven't made my final decision on those plants, and a few companion planters.
I'm thinking possibly Sunpatiens or Marigolds/Zinnia or possibly Sunpatiens mixed with Tagetes. Still in the imagination stage.

That is a real nice plectranthus, Lynda. I picked up a couple that reverted among the others. No pic yet.
Sandi, that is a real nice combination in those boxes. All from seed?
