It is that time of year when everybody is really GROWING. Some more than others.

Yesterday while doing a walk through, I noticed Black Lotus. She measures 8 inches across the center, from leaf tip to leaf tip.

Not surprised as the 'Persephone' X 'Black Lotus' and the 'Lion King' X 'Black Lotus' kids are 12" +. Those groups and those from 'Blue Whale' are my biggest. The 'Blue hale' ones can get over 14" and the offsets from those rosettes are already 8"+.

I just got my Blue Whale about a week ago and am really looking forward to how big it could possibly get. Right now it is just a tiny sprout but it looks like it is already growing.

Wow, Melissa that 'Black Lotus' is huge. I don't think mine will ever get that big.

Sorry. I am cheating. I took this picture at a local nursery other day. Semp. was in 6" nursery pot and outgrown its own pot a couple inches from each side. It was the largest sempervivum I have ever seen in flesh.

And Black Lotus just seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Just took this shot with my hand for perspective. I don't have huge hands, they measure 6 inches from the heel of my had to the end of the middle finger.

Maybe one day you will walk into a grocery store and instead of roasted turkey you will find giant semps

I have two Black Lotus kids that are in production and they're big too. One is gray with black tips.

Hello, everyone! New member here who's obsessed with Semps. I have a Ruby Heart aka Watermelon Ripple that is 8 inches in diameter on the bottom leaves.

Impressive 'Ruby Heart'. What are your growing conditions for 'Ruby Heart'? Can you give us some background on where you live?
I see what looks like offsets starting between the leaves.
