Tiffany, that Lucky Bamboo is looking good!! I have two that need cutting back and seeing your photos makes me think I really should do it! One has been growing in a jar of water on my screened porch for a few years and the other is potted but in such a dark corner that it's etiolated and lanky from lack of sufficient light.
I don't grow orchid cactus anymore. I lost a few to freezes when we lived farther north in the state and I had a really beautiful Ric Rac a/k/a
Zig-Zag Cactus (Selenicereus anthonyanus) for about 18 years and it was so beautiful. When we retired and moved, I had a truckload of plants that the guys were unloading and I told them to place them anywhere in the shade. The Ric Rac cactus was placed on a side of the house behind some shrubbery where I didn't find it until months later and it was dead.
I miss that plant but refuse to buy another because I'm old now and it took years for that one to begin blooming. I rarely see them for sale anyway and when I do, they are usually just a few small cuttings stuck in a pot. By the time one got to blooming size, I wouldn't likely remember what it was.
