I posted a DIY mini succulent garden in the Gardening forum and would like to share it here as well. Hope others will share pictures of their mini cactus and succulent garden or DIY cactus and succulent garden.

Click on the link below for the mini desert rose and succulent garden and my tabletop succulent centerpiece I made for a friend

Finally, plants I can see actually growing well in coir-lined baskets! Everything else just dries up too fast. I know some people line them with plastic or even with disposable diapers, but I usually avoid them. I have a couple that I've been meaning to throw away; I think I'll see where I've put them.

Could you please post a photo of the really cool way you elevate succulent planters on tomato cages?

Well since I consider most of my cacti and succulents to be in the mini class, I will post some pictures here later when I get out in the garden and take
pictures of lots of my cacti and succulents

Beautiful combo pots! I especially like the last 3 rectangle planters!

Thank You! Tiffany, these held up pretty good. JoAnn Fabrics used to carry these cool pots with drain holes. They are heavy though!

Oh wow Tiffany Lovey dubby Lovey dubby I've always wanted a miniature fairy garden. Lovey dubby I made the big log a miniature fairy garden originally. Then I lost my fairies 🧚‍♀️ when I put them away for the winter. I need to buy new ones. I still have the fairy garden sign Hilarious!

I got to start a miniature garden (just a small one first, an indoor one).

You should! It's fun to watch it morph over time, add things, move 'em around, trim, as the plants change shape and size, just like a full-scale garden. It can be realistic or whimsical, desert or more overgrown, minimal with a single decoration or all junked-up.

You can buy things, make things, steal things from Barbie & Lego. Popsicle stick picnic table & benches lasted about 2 yrs. Clay mushrooms, not quite as long. I don't have any actual fairies but there's a couple of gnomes & a car junkyard, some dinosaurs & other animals, houses, campers, fun stuff.

There are tons of pics in the mini gardening forum on here.

I will start collecting again! Tiffany, I will start small and post it here and the mini-gardening forum. I actually have a perfect pot with my bonsai jade. I just really need to start with a small dish pan then my outdoor one will be this bonsai jade pot.

Yeah, that IS a great pot!

Impressive plant, too. I think it may be Portulacaria afra, which seems to be more difficult to keep alive, or maybe just less popular so fewer pics of bigger, older plants, not sure. (vs. regular Jade, Crassula ovata.) I'm more than willing to give 2 thumbs-up to yours either way!

I do have a picture of my Portulacaria in its own pot and it is not in either of the bowls. Here is
the Portulacaria afra variegata
