I got a dragonfly almost complete, a sun, and started on some flowers.

It's going to be sooooo pretty when you're finished, Gina. I can't wait for you to post the final work! I have always enjoyed doing mosaic work.

Thank you for your kind comments! Its turning into a lot of fun. I have a lot of things that I have collected over the years for beading that are turning out to be extremely usable for this!

How did you cut the glass into such a nice shape?
Are there special tools?
Impressive. Hurray! I tip my hat to you.

Some of the glass is precut. I had to learn how to cut stained glass pieces for some, it takes a glass cutter, nipper and running pliers. But some of the glass pieces are actually beads that I used to use in my other art form as a bead artist.

You've transferred your bead artistry over to the mosaics and I'm loving the outcome. Your door will be just beautiful! I still need to start mine. I just had my third back surgery, and I think that this time it is a success. I'm woozy from the pain drugs, but looking forward to starting on my door soon.

Please keep on showing us your artwork, Gina.

patience and talent. just stunning. love and can't wait to see the finished piece. i like working with beads and crystals. it's calming. i made a tomato cage chandelier with beads and crystals collected from yard sales, wlmart sales the dollar store and some of my Aunts old jewelry. I threaded on bead wire and wrapped the strings around a tomato cage that I sprayed white. to hang I bend the "legs" over and hung from a chain on my pergola. its in full sun all day so it catches the light and sends prisms throughout the garden. not a very professional job but it works.

would if I could but alas the camera is in a FLIP PHONE...doesn't translate to uploading. I applaud everyone who uses their ingenuity, patience and talent to create beautiful things. be it Jeans[GARDENGLASSGEMS} Americana flag designs on wooden pallets, Ginas talent with glass and bead work, Peggy8bs special room just for her plants-everyone has a special "something" that adds beauty to the every day monotony. thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tip my hat to you.
