Did I miss if you stated if the plants have thorns or anything that is sharp and can prick you?

Some of the heuffelii might have a sharp point at the tip of each leaf, but the sempervivvum and jovibarba don't.
You can see the sharp tips on some of these leaves, but it seems that they are there just part of the year, not all year.


I've never had them on the semps. Sometimes the dead/dry leaves are poky when you remove them. Nothing sharp here.

Maybe you'll make me a believer someday Lynn! Just want to have pretty and colorful flowers on them.

I just got interested in Semps recently, starting my collection with Red Rubin and also "Black" (Black what I don't know, just "Black" as far as I've found out so far.)

And good to hear they cross so easily, that'll be fun when I finally see flowers!

S. 'Black' is a great semp with some interesting color changes. Has nice watermarkings on the leaves in summer.
