Years ago we use to share pictures of our gardens. Would be fun to start again.

I'll start see if there is any interest.

those are really pretty, Spring--not sure why I didn't see this thread before. I did take a few photos of my garden this summer--attached a couple below. Just got some more bulbs planted for the spring.

Today here, I think we received a total of 12 inches over the last few days. How much in your yard?

Hi Julia @springcolor.
Beautiful colorful pots and nice choice of plants for color and texture . Snow covered landscape pic and trees always nice 👍 to see . Is that snow pic a lake or by the Columbia river in front of the trees? Looks so peaceful and familiar .

This is a winter cold blast . The first few days of snow did have beautiful snow covered landscape
The second storm most of the garden was smooshed down by the heavy snow . Trees downed dozen to the driveway and power outages .

Bea, that's Lake Stevens. Snow covered plants are always so gorgeous. Looking forward to the warm up Sunday. Did you get the trees removed so you can at least get out. You have 2nd source of heat.

Hi Julia.
Lake stevens now I understand the pic better and what a gorgeous pic this time of year.

Still workin on the tree across the driveway. It's popped up to high to reach since the thaw.
Got tomorrow will get the tractor on it put the bucket over it weigh it down so I can reach it and cut it down. It will be really easy.

Wow another beautiful pic of the lake such a beautiful 🤩 pic of the winter landscape . I tip my hat to you.

Such beautiful photos, all! I agree that snow-covered landscapes are so lovely and peaceful looking. Here we had only 2-3 inches, but with the cold temps there has been very little melting. Glad we are going to get a warmup! Thumbs up

Thank You! Catmint/Robin… the cold temps had been keeping the garden prisoner under a 6" layer of ice.. yesterday it melted a bit , today no sun and freezing.
I hope we get a break from this soon Crossing Fingers! .

Hi @JeanC38.

Your yard look familiar. Very pretty . Snow covered landscape and evergreens. Always a peaceful scene.
Very nice seed trays 👍 and a handy dandy greenhouse too!.. I won't start setting seed til March. We don't really warm us til end of may or June to plant outside.

Our snow is melting and should be gone in the next day or so. Nice to see the plants again. I'm sure there will be some lost plants this year. I think the lowest temperature was 9 here. Haven't seen cold like that in years in my zone 7 garden. New maps say zone 8 but not this year. I've never had luck with plants with a lowest zone of 8.

It will be interesting to see if my zone 7 plants (like my lavendar) made it through the freeze! Here things finally melted, but now I think maybe I'll need a canoe instead of skis! Big Grin

My lavender hidcote and Spanish varieties have survived many seriously freezing winters. As long as the soil is not soggy .

The mud is unbearable sometimes it's so soggy it takes on a life of its own.

Waiting for things to warm up so I can get space ready for my seedlings:

Thumb of 2022-05-07/JeanC38/e99a3f

My lawn is seriously happy tho:

Thumb of 2022-05-07/JeanC38/1a2560

I will be expanding the bed around the birdbath to get rid of a lot of the lawn, which I am working on turning into a clover lawn.

My greenhouse has been wonderful. I wish it could have been bigger, but I can move seedlings off the bench onto the horizontal brackets as they grow big enough, letting me have more space on the bench to add more starts.

I've started working on my one flower bed, my Grape Hyacinths are doing nicely, my irises are coming up and the Yarrow my friend accidentally pulled up helping me clean up next year had enough survive to regrow. It still looks messy, but it is a work in progress :D

Hello, It's not just Floridians that put flamingos in there gardens . Rolling on the floor laughing

Wow seedlings looks great you have a good start I tip my hat to you. what all are you planning on planting?
Hurray! Nice greenhouse just perfect for Idaho. Are your flower / garden beds raised?

Idaho will be warmin up in a few more days… Crossing Fingers! and well the weather this season is unseasonable and maybe check with Idaho weather the next two weeks before hardening off your seedlings and planting out in the garden. There are still some storms brewing…I'm in Oregon zone 8b.

Your lawn looks remarkably familiar …. we are past the dandelions flower stage here and on to the next stage . Still not warm enough to plant seedlings out yet. I usually use a ground/soil thermometer when it reads 55-t0 60' for three days then it's safe to plant.

Happy planting I tip my hat to you.
