From how old should semps start showing watermarks? Like, if one is selecting seedlings with watermarks, when should they expect them to appear?

The above photo is a two year old seedling, and it is just now starting to show the markings.

Sort of depends upon the seedling when it occurs. The arachnoideums seem not to do this and it is the same in their hybrids. Ditto the velvety ones.

Lots of my 1 year old seedlings show watermarks but it's more obvious when they are more mature. There's lots of 'Jungle Shadows' kids that show this pretty early on.

It adds lots of interest in my crosses.

Alex, that sedum is one of my favorites; it's just hard to find.

Oaxanum is starting to get popular, I think it's on the "easy-to-find" section of Sedum now.
