Here he is! He's almost three months old.

Wow, Johannian that pup will get huge. Just look at those feet and size of bone on him. See those great big joints? Make sure he gets sufficient calcium.

Alex, is that one of your seedlings? Very cute.

Those are propagations of my sarmentosum seedling. Its variegation is weird. The variegation fades in and out depending on the enivronnment. The reversion rate is suprisingly low.

That's a very cute puppy. He's going to be a big lap dog. (I have a couple of those, used to have a 108 pound lap dog...) I don't start my big dogs on puppy food, they go straight to adult food so the bones keep up with the weight.

You're correct, Alice & Lynn, he is going to be big. 150 lbs, possibly more. He can get up to seven feet on his hind legs, but five and a half is more common.

What breed was your 108-pound dog, Alice?

It took me a while to find what Lynn did with your puppy --

I always love when a thread goes to the dogs...now you have your own Hilarious! My semps look like crap, but my dogs can handle the summer weather better than they can so...let's talk dogs Smiling

Congrats on your new puppy!
He sure is adorable right now Lovey dubby you ought to get as many puppy pics as you can, cuz it goes fast. I always forget, and then they're all grown up.
It's an amazing breed.

Here was my magnificent guy, when we went to visit the ocean

Oh WOW!! Dirt that pup has really grown. Miss your old guy, he was such a sweet boy.

I moved these post and made a thread so we could share our 4 legged family members. They are such a big part of our lives. I still miss Petie Boy.
Susie has become my new garden buddy. She is very good at her job. Rats are all gone, no bird or squirrel damage. Good girl Susie.

Thanks for the compliments, Dirt! We're so happy to have him.

Yeah, Lynn's pretty sneaky with her thread-making tools. Hilarious! She keeps you on your toes, as I'm sure you already know. 😆

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. He was so handsome! His face just seems to radiate calm control. It's very hard to lose a pet, especially a dog. June 13 of this year, we lost Rusty, our terrier (with some poodle and Jack Russel in him). I miss him very much still:

Oh my goodness, that blonde is so handsome and beautiful! Her eyes are absolutely stunning. How much does she currently weigh?

I like your seventh photo so much; the poor Chessie has had enough from both of the other dogs, I think. Hilarious!

Lynn, Rusty used to catch mice too. People were astounded when we told them, but it's true. He'd catch mice in the garage. I assume your Susie is some sort of ground dog (pointer, terrier, Danish Farm Dog, etc.)?

Honey, our cat, is our rodent-catcher now, though. She caught 17 rodents (mice, voles, and a mole) in one month last year, and five birds. 22 animals total in one month.

Blizzard in her prime, 129 lbs, when she was young she could easily stand on her back paws and put her front paws on my shoulders.

Johannian, love the photos of Rusty, the Jack Russel is where his rodent hunting comes from. He looks like such a sweet boy.
Here is the Dream Team of rodent hunting. Nikki and Susie. Both are gone now. Nikki lived to be 17, and Susie 20.

Petri and Nikki playing on the beach. And yes, Petri was very good at catching mice.

And here is sweet Susie, a wonderful garden companion and voracious mouser. The last of the Rat Terriers. She is 10 years old now.

They're all so cute, Lynn. I like terriers (and ground dogs in general) so much.

Blizzard looks—and sounds—very formidable, Rj. But beautiful, too.

She was 12 and recently passed, great guard dogs for sheep and other large animals. She was a great family dog, very gentle with kids.

Rottweiler and Bernese Mountain Dog. With a big woof! He was good with babies and kitties. and kept the other dogs in line, pack leader. Lost to cancer August 2017. Still miss him.
