When you say Pink Mimosa Tree, are you referring to Mimosa Tree (Albizia julibrissin) ??

Ok, that one is considered a highly invasive species in many parts of the U.S.

Oh. I had no idea. Crying I always thought mimosas were beautiful trees, they're not the least bit invasive here.

Apparently it's an introduced species considered invasive in Texas too.

So do I! Thank You! I'm glad someone likes them, I had no idea they had a bad reputation for being a 'weed' tree. I've always loved them and their wild cousins, "Touch Me Not". Smiling A Mimosa Tree always grew at my great grandparents house and my grandmother has a couple. They'll always be dear to my heart.

It is a beautiful tree, but with issues

It really is a beautiful tree and attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds but it's listed as a Category I non-native invasive here in Florida and not one that is recommended to plant.

There is a huge one growing nearby here in SW Pa beautiful in bloom. No problem I see about being invasive

I would love some but I am not sure they would do well in Zone 8A. I have seen them around here and would love to try.
