Starting this thread so those that have moved over from CUBITS can share their new user names (if it's different).

Thanks for doing this, Erika. My handle over here is flowerluvr53 because I am also in another forum about epiphytes - but we can change our usernames so will rethink if I want to change to my cubits name, Dahlia53.
Done - changed my name. Easy-peasy!

And I am here as Salish Dahlia Mom rather then Islander. Because my kids grew up and left home but now I have my dahlias to fuss over. Its been a weird day, feeling like something special in my life died but looking forward to new opportunities and friends. It is going to be weird meeting up with the same folk but with different names! Glad to go by Noni still!

I hear you Noni. It is sad. But the good news is that this forum is pretty similar in all respects to CUBITS. Just a bit fancier. I'm hoping that everyone from over there comes over here and we can be back to our old routine again.

Thanks for doing this Erika. I was on cubits but more of a reader and didn't really post much. I'm glad to see everyone on here and hopefully I can be more of an active member here.

Well, hello everyone!
It's been a whirlwind, hasn't it?
Erika… thanks for setting up our new home. Seems like it will be an easy transition. Happy to see familiar friends. It wouldn't be the same without our daily dahlia talk.

I was able to keep my name (!) but still mourning the loss over Cubits. I hope the community here doesn't mind taking in us dahlia refugees.

Also adding a photo to see how things load and look in the new forum. 2022 seedling.

I've been a lurker for awhile on both gardens.org and Cubits. Happy to continue following along learning from everyone's expertise.

Hello. I was also a lurker/ 1:30am obsessive reader over on CUBITS. FB is certainly easy for sharing pics and vids but it also involves the rest of my life (😬) whereas gardening is my escape. So I'm glad you're migrating to a straight chat site.

Viva cubits dahlia forum--such a wonderful compendium of information and experience.

Hi guys! I'm also DarcyD here. So sad that Cubits is coming to an end! I hope everyone makes it over here or to the Facebook page (Cubits Dahlia Friends) or both. I'd been around Cubits since 2014 or 15 I think. If it can just hang on a bit longer, more people will know since we are off season. I come and go from Cubits a bit with life's ups & downs but am usually more active from March or April through November, ie; the 'pre-sprouting' and growing season. I had a few disaster years (spider mites & floods) and quit growing for a while with each, but last year I dove back in with both feet forward. Ha. Just in time for the crazy dahlia wars and all.

Hope to re-connect with everyone. Hurray! Group hug

Ooohhh, I do like the thumbs up we can do here.

I am happy to find a new home to continue and grow our discussions. I think that it is pretty easy to change your name in the My Profile tab, so Steve and Janell, if you wanted to retain your old screen names it looks pretty straightforward.
