Since I plan to visit quite a few of plant market in Taiwan, I create this thread to share some pictures of the trip, and to record the photos for future reference.
Base on the readings, we can find a lot of beautiful succulents in Taiwan, mainly the classification is "common succulents" and "new/imported succulents", the imported ones are mainly from Korea, after sometime the imported ones will become common.
Do not expect much on cactus, as they prefer leaf succulents than cactus (too bad for me), because of the spines in cactus and I believe Fengshui also does not recommend to keep cactus inside the house.
Pachypodium and caudex plant also started to attract some hobbyist here.
The area where we can find a lot of big C&S nursery will be in the middle part of Taiwan, this visit will focus mainly in Taipei city, which is northern part of Taiwan, but I can easily find more than 10 plant markets or C&S seller to visit in this city alone.
Will use this first page as a table contents on where and date of visit, will keep one updated this first page for the list..

If you one to visit only 1 plant market in Taipei, this will be the one to visit, it only open on weekends, quite a big area with hundreds of vendors, all sort of plants are available here, gardening tools, pots, media, etc. Quite easy to access, not far away from MRT station, I first visited this market back in 1989, not much changes until now, except they have added "Jian Guo Jade weekend market" and " Jian Guo art weekend market" next to it.
I will use this market to benchmark with other markets on the price, as there are some other places with cheaper price, possibly will come here again next weekend.
The price here are much more expensive than Bangkok

Oh, that fisherman has a very famous wise/wisdom story behind it.
"Jiang fisherman is fishing, for the volunteer to take the bait". The story about how a wise man called Jiang, initially he was not famous and did not have a chance to meet the king, then he attracted the king/lord by fishing without a hook and bait at riverside where the king will pass by, this has attracted the king's curiosity to come and questioning on how he was fishing without bait and without hook. He said "this is not for fish, it is for the king/lord who will voluntarily take the bait."

This leaf succulents really caught my attention, not a "common" one but also not very expensive, mid range, like the texture of the leaves, if you double click to see the better quality photo, you can see the shine and shape make them look like jades/stones instead of leaves.

That little fuzzy plant

"Don't know what is this, the leaves doesn't look like succulent, but it was sold with other caudex plants"

I think it reads Rechsteineria. Perhaps Rechsteineria leucotricha. ( Sinningia leucotricha ) If so, that one is an absolutely adorable caudiciform (when older) with very pretty red blooms. I am thinking this one! "Brazilian Edelweiss"

Thanks Ursula, I will check further about this plant, if the stem/leaves are only that short, then this plant will look good, initially I was worried that it is a vine plant.

Thanks @bumplbea and @HamiltonSquare for the Acorn I tip my hat to you.

You know what, the trees on the pathway have ID and QR code, I scanned the barcode and it showed me of the plant ID, location, measurement, when the last photos were taken etc.

Kaktus, you are 'killing me' with these pictures from the flower market. Smiling I want to be there! How gorgeous -- all the colors of the various flowers. And those cacti, so many and some only $1.00 US. Personally, I would not want to leave the building once there. Your pictures are always welcome.

Agree, I can stay 2 days there, in fact yesterday I ran out of time, in the beginning I was enjoying every booth one by one, even have chat with some sellers etc. Until I had 30 minutes left before lunch and I had not visiting half of the market. Then I just made a quick past through the stores. But I expect some other market will be even more interesting, I have at least 3 more plant markets to visit.
