Rudbeckia triloba
Rudbeckia fulgida

and
Spearmint
and
Spiderwort/Tradescantia if it's perennial

Offers:

Cup Plant (likely the native species)
Bee Balm (Monarda, likely red)
Purple Coneflower seedlings (Echinacea purpurea, native)
Late Figwort seedlings - there's a chance of misidentification because the seed was collected, not bought

Mix of seedlings sowed from Prairie Moon's 'Shortgrass Inexpensive Prairie Seed Mix'. I won't be able to tell you which seedlings are in your portion. I'm not good enough at ID yet. Plus, more might show up later! The plants can include: https://www.prairiemoon.com/sh...

I started a ton of native plants from seed, both in-ground and in milk jugs. Nothing in-ground has sprouted yet. Most of the stuff in milk jugs has sprouted, but I don't know if they'll be big enough to transplant by swap time. If there's something you're looking for, please feel free to ask if I've started seeds of it. Even if it's not ready by swap time, perhaps you could pick it up later on since I'm in Evanston.

I also have a ton of native plant seeds left! Most require moist cold stratification however. Also, the majority of these seeds were collected by non-specialists, so there is the risk of misidentification.

BIG-LEAVED ASTER (Eurybia macrophylla)
60 day cold moist stratification
potentially aggressive

BLUE VERVAIN (Verbena hastata)
old seed from Prairie Nursery
30 day cold moist stratification

BUTTERFLY MILKWEED (Asclepias tuberosa)
30 day cold moist stratification

BUTTERFLY MILKWEED FOR CLAY (Asclepias tuberosa var. clay)
30 day cold moist stratification

BUTTON BLAZING STAR (Liatris aspera)
60 day cold moist stratification

COLUMBINE (Aquilegia canadensis)
seed collected 2021
60 day cold moist stratification

COMMON IRONWEED (Vernonia fasciculata)
old Prairie Nursery seed
60 day cold moist stratification
Height 6 feet

COMMON MILKWEED (Asclepias syriaca)
30 day cold moist stratification

CUP PLANT (Silphium perfoliatum)
60 day cold moist stratification
Height 6 feet

GOLDEN ALEXANDERS (Zizia aurea)
limited amount of seeds
60 day cold moist stratification
Black Swallowtail Butterfly caterpillars eat it

GREY HEADED (or YELLOW) CONEFLOWER (Ratibida pinnata)
has chaff mixed with the seeds
30 day cold moist stratification
Height 5 feet

JOE PYE WEED (Eutrochium maculatum)
30 day cold moist stratification
Height 5 feet
Potentially aggressive

LANCE LEAF COREOPSIS (Coreopsis lanceolata)
30 day cold moist stratification

LIATRIS SPICATA 'KOBOLD' - cultivar of a native plant (Dense/Marsh Blazing Star)
60 day cold moist stratification

NODDING ONION (Allium cernuum) - seed collected in 2021
60 day cold strat, potentially aggressive

NORTHERN EVENING PRIMROSE (Oenothera parviflora)
This is the likely ID. It could also be similar-looking species, Oenothera biennis
Biennial
Parent plant is 3ft+ tall and about 3ft wide

PENSTEMON DIGITALIS (Smooth Penstemon/Foxglove beardtongue)
30 day cold moist stratification

PRAIRIE BLAZING STAR (Liatris pycnostachya)
60 day cold moist stratification

PURPLE CONEFLOWER (Echinacea purpurea)
Doesn't need to be stratified

RATTLESNAKE MASTER (Eryngium yuccifolium)
60 day cold moist stratification

SMOOTH BLUE ASTER Symphyotrichum laeve
Seed collected in 2021 might be a cultivar rather than the species
No pre-treatment needed.

SNEEZEWEED (Helenium autumnale)
Seed collected 2021, has chaff mixed in with the seeds
No pre-treatment needed

SWAMP MILKWEED (Asclepias incarnata)
30 day cold moist stratification

SWEET JOE PYE WEED (Eutrochium purpureum)
30 day cold moist stratification
Height 7 feet

TURTLEHEAD (Chelone glabra)

Here's the public Facebook event page for this year's swap. If anyone has feedback/suggestions, please send me a TreeMail. I would also love photos of previous swaps, so long as they don't show people's faces, unless it's your own beautiful face of course. :-)

I just got Doug's email about the swap and I was coming here to say the same thing....was it intentional to have it on Mother's Day? I wonder how that might impact attendance (including mine-lol).

Hello Everyone! So good to see you here. Thank you for responding.
I have taken notes on your requests and wishlist and will try to fill them the best I can.
I am also revising my offers as the garden progresses.

Hi Happy and Pauline, we are fully aware that the swap falls on Mother's Day and that it might affect the attendance. However, we have to schedule the swap around the church's events and the swap's organizers. I tip my hat to you.
We do hope you can make it to the swap. Hurray!
