My iris have been blooming in great spurts since our temperatures here in the Carolinas have been above normal for the last month. Before that we had some freezes so you will see some crinkled leaves and chimeras along the way.

I mostly post in order they bloomed unless I am waiting on a better bloom to get the picure. A couple of these I posted in the 2023 season thread so I am trying to give you different shots of those iris.

First up is a round of Standard Dwarf Bearded:

Chapman's Dragon's Den keeps getting better and better. It is a very slow grower for me but is finally giving me more than one bloom a year. I love dwarfs with the rounded form.

Bianco's Death By Chocolate: Poor thing just attracted snails and slugs this year. They must like it's chocolate scent.

Spoon's Blue Hues is a really reliable bloomer for me.

Hester's Dede Dinah is that fuchsia color that always looks purple in photos. While these are not the best pics of the girl, they do show more closely her color.

The return of Messick's Aladdin's Flame! I had a bunch of this one. Several iris were potted/rehomed during a tree removal. It hasn't bloomed for a couple of years so I thought it was gone. Happy to see it survived after all.

Well sorry for the hiatus. I have had tons of blooms popping open. The mix of rain and hot temps has them going crazy.

Some more SDBs for you.

Paul Black's It's Not Over in its normal shade (it's never as blue for me as Neela's lovely photo). It actually looks like a mini Megglethorp.
