I was going to get Cast Adrift ,but I had already spent too much.
I thought about Easter Dress,too, but decided it too closely resembled several other iris I have.
Hopefully,yours bloom next year and I can see what I missed.

I get a kick out of Junior Partner because there was a gorgeous BB seedling in Keith's garden when I visited a few years ago. I told him it was my absolute favorite of his seedlings and he said he wasn't going to keep it because it looked too much like Dark Universe. I told him that was a good thing. I don't know if Junior is that seedling but I am sure happy he reconsidered introducing a smaller version of Dark Universe. Such a beauty!

On the Plants Database home page, there is a link to add a new plant.

Doesn't it have to be registered first by the hybridizer, and described by him/her? Sometimes hybridizers go àhead and sell some of a new one before registering them.

Per the Irises wiki, it was registered in 2022

I think Kent Pfeiffer @KentPfeiffer enters a lot of the new iris and includes all of the pertinent information. This may be better than trying to submit the plant yourself and not having as much info.

Oh, I do love Golden Mantel!

That was the motivating reason for my order! I'm becoming really interested in Mego's work and Sutton's seems to focus on making Mego's iris available here in the US.

The iris wiki is apparently in error, Day of Reckoning isn't among the irises registered in 2022. Presumably, it was registered in 2023, but those registrations won't be published until sometime next spring, assuming AIS follows its usual pattern.

Any member can add plants to the database. For irises, it's very easy, just put "Iris" (without the quote marks) in the Common Name box, Iris in the Genus box, Day of Reckoning (in this case) in the Cultivar box, and ignore everything else on that page.
