Rather than save all of the editions or remember which site I found good information on, I like to pin good info on my gardening page of Pinterest. As long as there is an image, just about anything can be pinned there, but for the life of me, I haven't been able to figure it out with this site. Is it possible? Thanks for any help in advance.

Barb, could you give us a specific example of what sort of "article" you would like to pin? It looks like articles from the "Learning Library" can be easily pinned by clicking on an associated photo.

I've just spent fifteen-twenty minutes trying to locate the newsletter /email that I received yesterday. No dice. There were articles within that had some good info. Today, I couldn't tell you their titles, but I can tell you they were written by C. Nardozzi. I did a search using his name, but, while some articles came up, none were what I wanted.

Scroll to the bottom, click on Newsletter. All past newsletters are listed.
Since you open them within this site from there, you should be able to pin from any of the images.

Thanks for the "newsletter at the bottom" tip! I clicked on yesterday's and was able to find the article about minerals for the garden, but there is no pin ability. While it has Pinterest listed at the bottom, that just brings me to the general NGA Pinterest page where I could not find the article.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and you will see the option to Pin the newsletter.

I saved it to my Facebook page but for some reason the type is really huge!

Although I haven't been to my Pinterest page in ages, I just tried pinning the article and then saving the link to my Pinterest page but neither methods worked. Sighing! I'm so technically challenged at times.

I thought we had a way to pin to this site. It was somewhere on the upper left if I remember right. I never set it up or used it. I don't anything there now. Or maybe I am imagining this... Hilarious!

I'm using a laptop PC, so this may work differently if you are using a phone or some other device; when I go to that article on minerals for the soil (or any other article) and hover my cursor over the photo, a red box with the Pinterest symbol shows up in the upper left-hand corner of the photo; clicking on that pins it to my Pinterest page. I don't know if there is any way to pin forum posts (which I realize wasn't the original question, just throwing that out there), but it does work for pinning photos in the database and in forum posts.

Did you click on the article to open it? I'm on my laptop and when I opened the article, you find the option to pin any one of the images just as Sandy mentioned. (If you have an ad blocker, make sure to turn it off for this site.)

I don't have the red P in a circle in the upper left of the image--I know it well and was hovering all over the image, trying to make it appear. I also don't have the option to pin at the bottom of the page, either. I am using a laptop that I do a lot of pinning with, so I don't know what could be the trouble. I do appreciate everyone's attempt at help.

I looked around for an ad blocker...that seems like a really good suggestion, but I don't know where to even start looking for that. I tried settings and my profile, etc. but didn't see anything like that.

I use Chrome browser and have the Pinterest Save Button added as an extension so I just click on the red P in my menu bar if the Pinterest button doesn't appear on an image. My ad blocker is also an extension I added.

I also have the Pinterest extension on Chrome; I wonder if that might be the difference? What browser are you using, Barb? I'm all ears!

I tried that; in fact, there is the option to "pin" but it just takes you to the Garden.org Pinterest page again. I can't pin just the article I was reading.

Something on your computer/browser is not allowing the red pin to appear on the upper left of the image in the article, I just tried it again and for me they are all there.
(FYI, if you reply by quoting a previous post, don't write in the middle of that post, it gets mixed in and we can't tell what you added and what the previous person wrote. Start your typing after the [ /quote] so that it follows the text of who you you are quoting. I fixed the one above.) nodding

I hope this doesn't add to the confusion, but I don't see any way to pin the entire newsletter either. (Lin indicated that there was an option to pin the newsletter at the end of the newsletter.) I do see a row of symbols for Pinterest, Facebook, etc., but clicking on the Pinterest symbol just takes me to the NGA Pinterest board.
Confused

If you pin any one of the photos in that entire newsletter, it adds the link back to it when you click on it in Pinterest. No, it's not by clicking the icon at the bottom itself as you have discovered.

Something I had forgotten and just re-discovered, in the process of trying to do something else entirely: right clicking on a photo includes saving to Pinterest as an option.

That has to depend on what browser you're using, what extensions you installed and what ad blocker you use. It's never an option on my system in Firefox nor Chrome.
