Before I put a link in the 2023 thread, LMK if you can change the title of this thread or if it's easier for you to just start a new thread (for 2024 rather than 2924).

Jill, I "suggested a change" for the title; a mod will change it soon, I'm sure.

Poor Rita did it twice. I can see her smacking her head over it. It's ok, we all do it at some point. Hilarious!

No worries Rita. I type notes and read them over in preview a couple of times and then let them go through thinking there are are no typos only to discover a few days later that there were errors. We all do it.

Dillard, that cauliflower is a beauty. Would taste so good eaten raw. with some ranch dressing.

I agree, that cauliflower is gorgeous! (Is the 2nd photo cauliflower or broccoli?)

Rita, I'm pretty sure it would be very hard to find anyone here who has never made a post with typos! Some are downright funny, some are kind of mysterious, and some that I have thought were typos actually weren't... one time someone was talking about using "homer buckets" that I asked about and discovered they were just the buckets from Home Depot D'Oh! Hilarious! .

Nothing much in the garden for me except soon to be gone mustard greens and green and red/purple cabbage. I have to have it all done before green bean planting time or else.
I don't even have my greenhouse up yet, I'm seriously behind this year. With the holidays, family health issues and poor weather I haven't even cleaned up the spot where it's supposed to go, tables, bricks and old pots still filled with dirt and roots from my summer failures are still sitting out there. Sticking tongue out

I got a good harvest off these greens, I was able to share and even sell some.

Haven't harvested any cabbage yet, they're rather neglected and have bug holes. The last time I sprayed them it rained but I haven't spotted anymore of those crummy green worms lately.

Forgot I still have some leaf lettuce. It's very crowded in there but I've been picking a good bit and had a very fine salad out of it yesterday. Big Grin
I no longer have spinach, that was plowed under and I yanked what radishes weren't doing and cooked the ones that did. I will replant more radishes soon I hope if we get a break in this cold weather. My body is getting less tolerant of winter, after going out yesterday I had another headache. Wasn't quite as bad as the one that lasted for about two days thank goodness.

Dontcha just hate it when you've typed a (fairly long) reply/post, only to drop your keyboard/mouse and the whole thing goes POOF!! :grumbling:

yooHOO! I'm here in winter, planning/plotting my summer garden, doing major house-cleaning . . . betweeen numerous breaks for hot cocoa nodding . Staying warm, listening to the wind howl. . .

Like I was often told growing up ". . . SEEN, but not heard!" Online, y'all can't SEE me in my daybed, under a fleece-lined throw with my heating pad on my aching knees, typing this on my keyboard between sips of fortifying hot cocoa with marshmallows!

Freezing rain and snow forecast for Friday night through Saturday AM, so no plans for venturing OUTSIDE any time soon! (I LOVE my grocery store and Amazon! Lovey dubby They deliver!!)

Ooh, sounds nice!!! Glad you're ok!

Today I forced myself to go outside this afternoon and do some much needed clean up. Still not finished but had stuff to do indoors as well. Cleared the spot for my greenhouse site, I'm seriously behind this year. Sad

Frost was so bad this morning it looked like snow. I think I lost my lettuce. Cabbage *may* recover, idk. I didn't how it was going to be that bad or I would've covered stuff.

Never trust the forecast - whenever I do I regret it. Forecast said it would go down to 33 last night - when I woke up it was 26.

I hope your cabbage pulls through. Crossing Fingers!
