Gorgeous! I bought this locally at the Abbeville LA Daylily Festival June 2013. I saw a picture on its label and had to have it. It is a slow grower, so I only have 2 plants after all this time. Last fall I moved it to a full sun location, so this year it grew and bloomed well early in April. I call it LSU colors because it's a creamy gold background color with wine markings. A real treasure, but not especially easy to grow.

Thread OP

Thank you so much for sharing. I also find Answering Angels to be slow growing. I only had one bloom last year, literally one bloom! But I'm going to try something my Uncle has done. Water with miracle grow more often. Mix in a container and water the plant. His daylily also is potted in good quality soil and is a different name of daylily from this. It went from one cane to four canes in two years! Mine only has one cane in the same two years. So I've got to improve and try his approach. Hope this helps you and others. Breeders probably don't want anyone to know, but he showed me the results and it is true. Four canes to my only one in two years. I'm in zone 8 in South Georgia, U.S.A.
