Well, for the first time ever my first two blooms of the season are on two of my seedlings.

Very pleased to see the seedlings are blooming so early this year, hoping these two will open up some more and improve as the season goes on. Disappointed not to see any relief, but still I think they will both end up being decent blooms later in the season.
I am just guessing that being both of the early blooms had WOIA in the cross that may be where the "early blooms" came from. I like the prominent midribs, that is a trait I have just recently started to admire, mostly from looking at the beautiful blooms Subhanna Ansari put on line in her Monday Night Lights presentation. These don't have the sparkle hers have, but for me they they made me smile.

This seedling may be my FBOTY, even though not first to scape. Seems ahead of my Stella though I found some SDO blooming in the neighborhood this a.m.

I wouldn't keep this if it bloomed in mid-May but here it is.
An 80mm UF, consistently pinching petals, 16-3/4" scape at FFO, 3 scapes so far on at least 5 fans
I love the rich color and the extra-early bloom. This is an unk x unk probably some Stella DNA but for sure

Cute blush on that yellow seedling. Like you, if it bloomed during peak season, I probably wouldn't keep it either. Those early blooms brighten up our day!

1st newby has opened! S24-1 FFE average 65mm diam on a 13" scape at FFO. 3 way branching In the dark. It seems to be a melony bitone.
Another "Before Stella" bloomer [in my yard anyway].
still dark outdoors 0830 but the heavy rain is not here yet.

Bud count 6 is a little low but should improve. I will definately keep this one.

It's great to see seedlings starting to bloom! I doubt that I'll have any until the beginning of June.

Those first blooms on a seedling are so exciting to see, Dave! I am sure it will only improve with time and blooming before Stella is wonderful:)
