This beautiful ground cover is growing in my flower bed, and I'd love to know its name. I have assumed it was a sedum, but I can't find any pictures that match the plant with its flower. Some pictures I have seen have a very similar flower, but the rest of the plant isn't the same. Any suggestions? If additional pictures would help, please let me know. Thanks for any help!
Thanks Sue! It's written as Capo Blanco on the first link that Janet posted, but Cape Blanco in the database. A Google search gets lots of hits for Capo Blanco. Maybe the name is wrong in the database? Or is it two different cultivars?
Okay, just ignore anything I say! Had I looked at the pictures on Google, they aren't all for a plant! So, I did a search for "Capo Blanco Sedum" and lots of pictures show up. Same thing happens when I search for Cape Blanco Sedum.
Name: Suzanne/Sue Sebastopol, CA (Zone 9a) Sunset Zone 15
Try Capo Blanco Sedum in Google again, only one is spelled that way in the first page, an Amazon listing. If you look at the images, clicking on any of them shows the correct spelling.
Thanks Sue! If you are only finding one listing for it being sold as Capo Blanco, I would think that it shouldn't be changed in the database. Just my opinion though. Not sure how these things work. I'm just thrilled to have a name!
Just found this thread. Sedum 'Cape Blanco' is the correct name. It is a species found on the Oregon Coast and was named after the area it was found, Cape Blanco, Oregon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C...
