As always, if you have new mail or system messages, the respective icons turn red in the menu bar.

Starting now, if you click on a red icon, instead of taking you away from the page you are looking at, it will instead open a popup dialog box that shows you what is new. You can then further click inside the dialog box to leave the page and go to the mail.

In the case of system messages, you can click the red "info" icon and it'll open the dialog and show you the new messages. You can then close the dialog box and continue with what you were doing.

Dave, is it possible to have a link to the database in the floating menu bar? Many times when I'm in a thread I want to go to the database to post a link to the particular thread and I'm so lazy ...

I haven't seen anyone mention it yet but since yesterday afternoon my menu bar has been messed up, I think. My profile is half in/half out of the menu bar and "your posts" and "watch thread" are completely out and below the bar... or maybe thats how it's suppose to look...

Sorry, nevermind...figured it out. I just have to give in and use firefox instead of explorer I know, I know....

LOL, yep ... that old IE is to blame! I haven't used IE in years and didn't even know it was still around until hearing folks on here talking about all the problems it causes. I've been using Safari and Firefox for a long time.

I resisted switching to Firefox, too, because I just hate changing stuff, but I trusted my local computer guru and have never regretted listening to him!

I like the little bracket-like, tab-like border under each menu bar button. Is that new?

Now I see that it looks different in a forum, like interrupted black lines with a short cross bar like an upside-down Tee.

The tab-like border was visible when I was at the very top of the ATP home page. It seems that the border goes away and the thin black-line-with crossbar appears when I scroll.

Hmm, F5 makes the menu bar go away if I'm in the middle of a forum, (until I scroll again). But F5 does not make the menu bar disappear when I'm in the middle of the home page.

It's late - and I'm obsessing on minutia.
