Bringing my tender plants inside now and found a little Hitch-Hiker in my pot of Nile Lilies !st 1 i have seen for awhile now. I don't think he will be able to dig deep enough for winter now so i will leave him in my spare unheated bedroom til spring nodding :nodding:

I think I would put the frog back outside. He/she is SO cute!!!!

By 'Nile lily,' do you mean Callisia fragrans? That's what the plant looks like to me.

Tiffany,
I'm not sure he will be able to dig into the ground deep enough not to freeze. we do get some deep freezing here sometimes.
That is a gal size Brandy Glass and i just threw in a couple rosettes of fragans for cover
this is pot of N.Lily he was in
cliff I tip my hat to you.

Yeah I'm certainly no expert, but if you just brought the plant in, and the little guy/gal was there on the surface, I would think that would mean not be time to dig in yet if he/she is still cruising around. What would it eat in your house?

I thought it was something like that, a multi-plant pot. Sounds/looks like a good combo to me. Has your Callisia made flowers before?

Cliff, any idea what became of the cute little frog? Guess who I just found cohabitating at the moment in some Hemigraphis & Schefflera. I put a little 'lid' of water in there for him. If he can catch some flies, he should be good in here for a few days until we open windows again.

my avatar is one that was in my queens tears one year when I put it the GH. Lil darlin lived there quite happily all winter. In fact I didn't know it was there until one day when I was watering and it jumped out at me Hilarious! put it back in/on the plant and went about watering, but I was careful after not to drown it Angel

Tiffany,
Last time i saw him , he was digging and backing into the soil in that big glass goblet. i have it in a unused spare bedroom. no heat in there so i assume he is hibernating I will see in the spring when he shows up or not. I figured the best thing was to let him do what is natural.

It's easy to second-guess someone else, isn't it? I know you just want to be helpful, sending good vibes!

I haven't seen our visitor again. When it's warm and sunny in the afternoon, I've been taking whatever plants are thirsty outside for a drink. It's possible he/she departed during 'an outing.' About every time someone goes in/out at least 1 fly comes in, if it's still here and awake, I guess it's got something to eat.
