Today at our Master Gardener Plant sale I bought two Guayacans. Tag says the scientific name is Guaiacum coulteri. Linda how does this compare to the Texas lignum-vitae that you have posted pictures of on here? It is suppose to be drought tolerant and a very prolific plant in West Texas. One I am going to plant and just let it grow and the other I plant to try to maintain as a shrub.
Any suggestions? The one I saw at TreeSearch when we were picking some of our plants for the sale was in a pot and had beautiful bluish purple flowers.
