I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the children's podcast! You better watch out Dave, I can see Katie taking over that part of ATP in the future! Loved all her great details and her enthusiasm. I'm impressed with the worm harvesting that she and Jon are doing! I laughed and laughed at parts of Jon's podcast! The steer bones and maggot description was so funny! At only 13, he obviously has the muscles and strength to do the double digging of his garden areas! I can't imagine digging like that! I also enjoyed his information about camera settings! Abigail was also a delight! I agree with her about making lasagna garden beds! She is a spunky young lady and sold me on the Swiss Chard "Bright Lights"!
All 3 of the children sold me on some of their seeds. I am thinking of trying a keyhole raised bed this year so that I can try vegetable gardening. I am new to edible gardening, so I appreciate their choices in plants and why. I live in Florida, so the climate is similar to Texas, therefore I have confidence that the children's seeds will grow well here in FL. And it also sounds like they are some great edible plants!
I am also impressed that the children had their podcast speeches prepared (typed, no less!!!) in advance so they could stay on track (except when dad got them off-track) of what topics they were planning to discuss. I will be ordering seeds from them this weekend.
A very informative and entertaining podcast!
