Golden Toads are native to Costa Rica, but are believed to be extinct. They have not been seen since 1989. The image used in the banner is a public domain photo.

I know. The USFWS provided the photo from which I made the banner. It's just a gorgeous thing and I hope maybe it still exists somewhere yet to be rediscovered. Well, one can hope.
