Lovesblooms,
I grew this by starting it indoors (in zn 5), and then planting out. Like other MG's it likes it hot, so it flowered for me later in the season, like August and September. But when it did, it flowered quite well, and the blooms were so worth it. The buds start out with a fat, twisted bud that shows color on the 'twist' so they look really cool even before they start, and then (on mine) some of the blooms were a more violet-magenta color - as well as the dark blue shown above - at the same time, on the same plant. Quite amazing.
