How to list in database. Desert Bloom 2 is already there. My tag only has Desert Bloom. Thank You!

we have an entry at our homepage from Desert Bloom:

http://www.sempervivum-liste.d...

Erwin Geiger got it some years ago from the US;

but I'm not sure if it is the same clone......

there are some confusions about Desert Bloom, Desert Bloom 2, Kreb, Kreb 2, Krebs and Krebs 2;

that are some names used in the US for varities with unknown origin and there is no clear correlation between names and varieties;

sorry - but I can't help much....it's a US-specific problem I can't analyse from germany;

Peter

It seems as though Peter is correct on the confusion.
Here is what I find under all of the above names.
'Krebs Desert Rose' / Sempervivum 'Krebs' http://www.monrovia.com/plant-...
'Krebs 2 http://www.santarosagardens.co...
'Desert Bloom' http://www.treadwellplants.com...
'Desert Bloom 2' http://www.ecgrowers.com/Sempe...

These all look like they could be the same sempervivum.

I believe all of these are Desert Bloom. All the photos I see of Desert Bloom and Desert Bloom 2 are even using the same photos.

@chickhill Linda & Julia put your Desert Bloom here. Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum 'Desert Bloom')
I have changed the name in the database to S. 'Desert Bloom' and added Desert Bloom 2 as a 'Sold as'.

Sorry that I dropped the ball on investigating this.

I brought three or four of those Desert Blooms to Lynn's during Clinic Weekend earlier this spring. They were part of the box of semps that I brought to share. I just checked on my own DB yesterday, it is a purty one Lovey dubby .

We also are getting cold winds today. Had a very mild frost this morning, not enough to bother the blooming plants yet.
Wonder if I can brave the cold wind to go out into the sunshine, and take some photos?

I know that feeling Marilyn. Those of us with short legs have to sit way to close to the steering wheel.

Thanks Bev and Greg for your kind thoughts..
There is now a couple of inches of snow on top of the pots. That should insulate them a bit against the cold.

I am thankful to have made it back home, although it was tricky in spots, but few people on the roads.
Think I will stay in now until it gets a bit warmer. Whistling (I was looking for an excuse. nodding )

Linda, enjoy the warm while you can. Hope your freeze is not too bad.
