Dave,
In the daylily database, when we click on the child plants link to bring up the new window that lists all the registered offspring, is it possible to place a thumbnail image with the child name, if there is a photo in the database?

I think this would be a great addition.

Some daylilies have over a hundred child plants listed and it would be great to see a thumbnail to see if any of the "kids" are eyed, a different color etc. without clicking on each link.

Thumbs up

Here is an example of one of the pages that come up, where it would be nice to have a thumbnail.

Amazing! I can see where that could be really useful for hybridizers! I may never actually use it myself, but I am still appreciative of that super fast response by Dave, and even for me it is interesting to see the child plants especially when displayed in such an orderly easily accessible manner.
Thanks Dave!

I have been thinking about it for a while, but though it would help this teacher in this thread in the daylily forum. I hope I explained how to do the child plant searches for her…

*Blush* I think I made it sound harder than it is…. Whistling Rolling my eyes.

The thread "pictures of parent plants and offspring" in Daylilies forum

Thanks for making it happen so quickly!!!

When I went back in to make the post to show how to do the searches in the database, and saw the thumbnails --- that is really going to be a useful feature.

Thumbs up

Oh my goodness. Thank you so much Juli for asking for this tool. And thank you Dave for creating it for us. Group hug
It is truly amazing. I can't wait to share this with the sempervivum people, many of which grow iris, hosta, and many other plants that this would apply to.
I tried it out on this sempervivum. Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum 'Jungle Shadows')
Hyrbridizing of sempervivum is making a come back thanks to the efforts of Kevin Vaughn. He is encouraging a new generation of hybridizers. What a great tool this will be to all of them.
