The plants you bought look as good or better in their temporary spot (on the gate) as they would at their intended spot? I think I'm going to have to go out and buy more plants. Sigh It's a conspiracy , I tell ya!

They look good! Go buy. I bought a pot today because I want to try it for size in a hanger I made. I figure I'll use for something sometime. Or maybe I'll.....go buy and sometime will be sooner than later.

This always happens to me. See those geraniums in the background and to the left in this picture? They they haven't been hung up on the fence yet. Now i like them on the ground level and i know i will miss them when they are gone from there.
GAH! Where's the hit yourself on the forehead icon?

I love this plant, "Black Pearl". Lovely dark leave; takes the sun and heat all day. Berries turn from black to red; and when the start to shrivel I gather them for the seeds. I only use it as an ornamental - and they are stunning. Those dark leaves hold up in the Florida heat and sun. The berries are edible but I believe are extremely hot; probably a little too hot for my taste buds. I've already started a couple of plants for friends.

Love your photo. Others may want to enlarge it to capture the beauty of the plant.

Those berries look like black pearls - or maybe polished hematite beads.

No, but my sister has some black pearl jewelry. I think she was semi collecting it Smiling . And I've seen polished hematite beads for sale. I thought it looked similar to her jewelry. I like gems and minerals and have a collection of spheres. Not much on jewelry except the aspect of what it's made of.

Oh, I like that Black Pearl! Going to have to get some seeds for that one. Probably too late to start them for this year, but oh my, those are nice!

Gotcha, Donald, and truly didn't imagine you'd be wearing earrings of hematite! I find stones so interesting along with simple things like beach stones, rocks and boulders.

Come right on over, Arlene. Rocks? You like rocks? Stick a shovel in the ground here and you can have all the rocks you like! Hilarious!
Actually, I'm quite fond of rocks myself. We're just getting ready to set up my fake stone fountain...and I just happen to have a bunch of real rocks to surround it with. Whistling

Wishing won't make it happen. We buy rocks and stones but hold off on boulders and just admire them when we see them. Have fun creating your stone fountain. I love projects like that and love them more when I am not the worker!

Me, too! We have a helper today, so the project should progress nicely. That's an impressive stack of rocks you have there!

Done? Projects actually get finished? Heh, we got a lot done today, just a little finish work around the edges and a check of the fountain's basin for leakage and we should be good to go! Too hot to do more out there today...eeek! over 90 deg in the sunshine! I'll take a pic when we get it filled and running.

I was too cool outside and inside with a fleece jacket on! I guess we'll never all be happy with the weather at the same time.

Heck, we had to turn on the air conditioning just to get cooled down a bit. And, okay, I couldn't wait to get the fountain operational before taking at least one picture.
Yes, there are fences everywhere.

@Woofie -- let me know if you can't find seeds. There will be some ready soon to take off the plant. I can mail you some. Very easy plant to grow.
