It was sent to me in 2008 by one name but I've been advised it was wrong. Thank you!

Any help would be appreciated.

Could be Frances Williams or one of that group. Does it burn at all in the spring?

I can eliminate Frances Williams only because I've had it. It arrived with Sum and Substance and Mississippi Delta even though I mentioned I really prefer the small or mini hostas. This one is a giant.

Earth Angel has a bit of a swirl on the tips of the leaves. I was thinking Olive Bailey Langdon, but yours doesn't have as big of a margin as the pictures on hostalibrary.

I appreciate your help, Rose.

This afternoon I managed to get photos of the leaves and hope it will help with an ID. Could it possibly be El Capitan?

Thanks for trying, Rick. Did you rule out El Capitan? If so, why?

I've never had First Frost.

Try this website - Mickfield Hostas in England - they have the England national collection of hostas and this webpage lets you search by broad characteristics. I've visited their nursery several times and plant to continue going; I love hostas and have a large collection. Whatever yours is, it's very attractive and I would love to have it here!

Thanks, Gerry.

I received three from one person after telling her I only like small and mini hosta. They were Sum and Substance, El Capitan and Mississippi Delta. Obviously El Capitan was misnamed.

Thanks to all who tried to help.

Thank you so much but I'm giving up on any identity unless I dig it up and find a label. Even then...mistakes do happen.

Pirl - I wish I could answer the question about your hosta but it doesn't match anything I have.
