Use PVC Pipe To Water the Roots

Sink pieces of pipe in the garden to guide a hose when hand watering…paint them in fun colors and top them with garden art.

I have pieces of bamboo that do this job for me, in very much the same way. They kind of blend into the background, and aren't really a decorative item like yours. So nice!!

Sheila: Lovey dubby I love your project! I just recently painted some PVC pipe and used glass light shades to make a couple of planters or candle holders for the garden ... they could do double duty as hose guides as well. I love what you did with the one in your photo, I'm a bird fanatic and that is just sooo cute I might have to copy it!

I tip my hat to ya! (I've always been a good tipper, too!) And this new feature will certainly tip the scales in a positive way. Why, I'd go so far as to say this is just the "tip of the iceberg"! And, and, and....well, just one more thing..I'm about to tip over from excitement!

Shoe (who noticed Dave put "tip" in his post four times so grabbed the ball and topped him, er, uh, over-tipped again.) (I'm having too much fun here, ain't I?)

love the idea.. just be careful with pvc.. lots of chemicals leech out of there into your soil.. including lead

Such a pretty answer to the problem of scalping the corners of the garden beds with the water hose! I found that the hose will just jump right over a short piece of rebar...

Allison I hope you are wrong about the lead leaching from PVC!!! Our drinking water goes through it and all of it is buried completely underground!!!

yeah here too... but sadly it's correct .. who knew even a shower curtain was slowly poisoning us .. the smell from a new one.. is harmful .. I did change to a material one years ago.. and had no idea I was doing something good
