I think I'm going to love this camera! It has been way too windy to try macro shots. Of course, I could do macro shots indoors of things like a dime but that's no fun.

Thanks Cindy! This is the one I got. I got the refurb which is the 1st link. It was $119. If anyone is interested & will take a refurb then just bookmark that link & check it every morning. That's what I did. They had none when I started looking & it took about 3 weeks & then 1 morning they had 12. They went in less than 48 hours. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00R50RJ8O/
This "model" (exact model #) is discontinued but they just do that probably to get more money for them in a "new model #". This S9200 is actually what they now have as the S9800 --- but you pay a lot more for the S9800.
Also if you see a listing for a S9250 -- that's the exact same camera I got. The model # is different ONLY b/c of the "bundle" the camera came with for different dealers. It's really kind of stupid but that's the way they do it.

What I like most thus far about this camera is that it makes me look like a good photographer when really it was the camera. I just had it on the "automatic" mode & held it up, pointed it & zoomed it.

That's the way I do it Ann.
Busy morning at the feeders, had the Downy, Hairy, Northern Flicker, AND the Pileated Woodpeckers, got photos in the camera. Lots of small birds, Gold Finches, Chickadees and 1 Common Red-pol, Steller's Jays of course.

This magnificent female Pileated Woodpecker ate suet from the new feeder, also from a single suet hanging in another tree, she flew around to different trees, chased the Norther Flicker away from the tree with the large suet cage, sat on a nest box, the grass you see sticking out the hole is the squirrels winter stash. It was such a joy to watch her.
Embiggen for best viewing.
Almost got a perfect shot as she flew from the tree.
Super nice photos Margaret. I did see that melted snow drop. Cute! I love the photo of the in flight pileated.

Great pictures Margaret. The pileated woodpecker is spectacular. The only time I get to see them is when we go north to our cottage. None here in the city.
Our Pileated has come by just sort of checking things out right now, but has not been visiting the suet here yet. It will soon I imagine as the warm weather disappears.
I saw some White-throated Sparrows on our walk this morning. Saw a group of Cedar Waxwings eating some berries. I love hearing their whistle!
