I love the hot pink bee balms in the last thread. How can you collect seeds from them and did you? I haven't any luck collecting seeds from the bee balms.
One thing I do is cut the entire seed head and rather than removing the seeds, bury the entire head. But most of my bee balms have been planted from cuttings.
I read the "general care" info for Monardas. They should be thinned out in early spring.They grow underground from roots. I beliebe root cuttings will increase your patch.I have planted the thinned plants in spring. They dont like to be crowded and need air circulation to keep from getting mildew.
