I think the rabbits ate all the leaves off of mine! Most of my plants are just stubs!

Deer got my whole garden in the last six weeks ... Sighing! It took that long to finally find out where they were getting into the garden.

The heucheras were somewhat buried in leaves, but the deer got most of the plants. There is not one lateral left on any of the roses.

I finally found out where the deer were getting in after a particularly bad storm.

Some how they were jumping over the trash cans in the carport to a small area between a tall fence and an almost vertical slope. Then crossing over the base of the slope to a spot where they could get up and over a 3' fence at the top of the slope.

The lousy part is that we have had enough rain that there is plenty of forage for them outside of the garden .... including wild species roses.

The garden is a wreck and the soil is saturated so I can't work out there yet. At least the deer are not feasting in the garden every night any more.

I know. The heucheras and the roses will come back. I am just going to have to be patient.
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

I don't know why I dropped into this forum. I only have two heuchera, both sending up blooms now. As a result of reading through the last several pages of 2016 I have now ordered three more. Where am I going to put them and what will I put them in? I only do containers. Too old to dig in clay/concrete. What was I thinking? I already have bulbs and seeds I haven't been able to get to, and now I've got live plants coming???? Plus pelargoniums to up-pot. Yes, its a disease. Is there an anonymous for it? Help! I've fallen and I can't reach my beer! Sighing!

Carol, I put mine in containers each year. They make a great contrast to the usual container flowers. Then I over winter them in the ground. Some of them end up staying in the ground, others go back into the containers when the warm weather comes back.

I don't have any problem overwintering in the containers - if we get down to 60* here its too darn cold and everybody talks about moving. All I've done over the winter? is water, then last week through fertilizer on them and stay out of their way -

I need help.

I ordered this Forever purple Huechera from "Great Garden Plants" online and it arrived looking just right. BEAUTIFUL!!

Then my local garden center ordered "Forever purple Huechera in for me.

The plants are just beginning to emerge. Many of the leaves have a silvery tint to them. Does Forever Purple have a silver face?

Do I have the right plant?
Should I complain?

I believe you have the correct plant. If you look at my picture last years leaves(lower ones in picture)have an over grey cast where as the new growth is the vibrant purple.

Yay!!!!

Does this look like Georgia Peach?
I bought it last fall and it was labeled Georgia Peach. It was very red and rejected when I submitted it to the database. Someone told them it was not Georgia Peach.

I agree that is Forever Purple.
I would say no to picture 2 being Georgia Peach.
Picture 3 is hard to tell Georgia Peach , Berry Smoothie and Watermelon look very similar in the early Spring Peach is more pink, BS gets a purple cast and Watermelon gets a lot of green in it as they mature.
