A weed is but an unloved flower.

I planted two Musa basjoo banana trees last year. They both came back up but one of them has about three more little trees coming up with it. What is the best way to separate them? I am asking because I tried this one year and my banana trees didn't make it. Confused

Use a very sharp spade or similar and cut at an angle toward the momma plant. You must get roots or it will die. And most of the roots are close to momma.
