plantladylin said:An adult Woodpecker and one juvenile were around earlier. The parent would fly to a feeder and grab a seed and the little one would scream to be fed. I managed to get one picture of baby being fed. Then I watched the adult flying back and forth, grabbing sunflower seeds from a feeder and flying to a palm tree or an oak tree where it stuffed the seed into the palm fiber and beneath the bark in the oak. The adults are teaching their young by sometimes feeding them a treat and other times waiting for them to go find the hidden, stored food. It's so much fun to watch birds!
