Hi everyone, I've been admiring everyone's pretty blooms. So far I have a surprise St. Joseph's lily bloom. I got the bulbs last September from a local gardener. I planted them in containers except for one that she had accidentally sliced through. I dusted it with cinnamon, left it out for a month, and then planted it. I tried forcing them into dormancy by leaving them outside when we had light frost expected and withholding water, but when I brought them in, they refused to go dormant. To my surprise last week, a few produced scapes and the one that had been sliced through, bloomed yesterday to my surprise.
The bloom is a little deformed and pale but I'm glad it bloomed for me.
